Tutorial: Lily Collins make-up look

Hi!

Lily Collins is one of my favorites actresses and I thought she looked stunning on the Mortal Instruments Red Carpet back in August. She went with bright red cherry lipstick and iridescent eye shadow. It's a great fall time look too so I decided to re-create the look, so here we go:

Face: I don't have the perfect porcelain skin like she does, I went with my normal face products. I use Rimmel BB Cream which I really enjoy, it has the most coverage out of all BB/CC creams that I tried so far (and I tried like 5). I used my Almay concealer on the spots I have and Loreal True Match Crayon and Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser concealers under my eyes. I set everything with Revlon Colorstay powder. Lily didn't have any bronzer so I did not use any. She looked like she did not have any blush too, but I felt like I needed some so I just used a natural satiny finish rose blush on the sides of me cheeks, but not the apples, almost like a contour.

Eyes: Start off by priming your eyelids with any eye shadow primer, I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Then Lily is well known for her bold, thick eyebrows, so I tried to make mine as thick as possible with my ELF Eyebrow Kit. You can even take your concealer and apply it under your eyebrows to make the eyebrows stand out even more - that's what I did. Then take a shimmery iridescent cream color eyes shadow, I used Loreal Infallible eye shadow in Iced Latte, and apply it all over your lid. Take a matte taupe color, I used Lavish (1) in my MUA Undress Me Too eyshadow palette, and apply it on the outer V bringing it all the way into your crease. Blend it out well, but keep the V shape visible. Then take the same shimmery eyeshadow and apply it lightly over the taupe color and on the inner lower lash line. Then take any shimmery gray color, Exposed (2) in MUA palette, and apply it on your outer lover lash line bringing it up to the V we made with the taupe color. That will smoke out a look a little bit. Lily definitely did not have any eyeliner on her lower lash line but some color were was still visible.  Then take any matte cream color (Naked (3) in MUA) and apply it on your brow bone to highlight the area. Take black eyeliner, I used Rimmel Scandaleyes in Black, and apply it between your upper lashes bringing it up to the V a little, but not all the way. Lily definitely had her eyes defined but no strong lines! Apply a few coats of your favorite mascara, this time I used Maybelline The Falsies and you're done with the eye make-up!

Lips: I feel like the lips was the main factor in her make-up. She had this great dark cherry color on, that I had trouble finding in my collection. But I got pretty close! So use the darkest cherry lip liner you have and line your lips with it. I used Wet n Wild Coloricon lip liner in Brandy Wine. Then take the lipstick, the darker the better, I used Loreal Color Riche in 701, and apply it evenly. To make the look even more vampire-like, you can use a bright red lipstick on you inner part of the lower lip!

FOTD + Tutorial: fall inspired

Hi guys!

I got a lot of requests to do more make-up looks with Lorac PRO palette and I thought why not?! I love that palette a lot, and I use it more than any other palette I own. So today I'm doing a make-up look that reminds me of fall time! It's a little bit golden, bronzy and a tiny bit smoky. This time I'm showing you my bare face (so you can see the difference), then I'll give you an option of the look with the bright lipstick and a nude one too, whichever you like more! Please click on the pictures to enlarge them if you'd like! As usual, I did not edit any of the pictures.

Face: I didn't feel like foundation, so I just used the Loreal BB cream all over my face blending it in with my fingers. I used some Almay concealer on my spots and acne scarring, and Loreal True Match Crayon and Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles concealers for some brightness under my eyes. Then I used some Too Faces Chocolate Soleil bronzer on the outer part of me face and Rimmel Stay Matte powder on my t-zone. To add some color back to my face, I used NYX blush in Amber which reminds me of fall so much!

Eyes: to prime my eyes, I first applied some Wet n Wild eye shadow primer, then filled in my brows with my favorite ELF brow kit and set them with ELF lash&brow clear mascara. Then from the Lorac PRO palette I took Gold (1) color all over my lid, on the outer part of the lid take coppery Garnet (2) color. To deepen up the look, take dark matte brown Espresso (3) on the outer V and blend it in well.  Take light matte Taupe (4) color and blend it in you crease. Using matte reddish brown Sable (5) color put it under your lower lashline to smoke out the look even more. Taking light matte Cream (6) color highlight browbone and inner corner. Then I used Rimmel black eyeliner on the upper lashline mostly focusing on the outer part of it. Make sure to get between the lashes. The I used some Elf Bronze eyeliner on the inner lower lashline (connecting it to the Sable color we used on the outer part). To finish of the look, use some mascara on your lashes, I used Covergirl lashblast.

Lips: for the bright berry lip, I used Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie and topped it off with Rimmel Stay Glossy lip gloss in Immortal Charm. For the nude lip, I used Covergirl lipstick in Delish and topped it off with the same Rimmer lip gloss.

So that's the look for today! I definitely think it's a great fall time look!

Tutorial: dramatic night time eye look

Tonight I was trying to create something bold but still wearable. I would recommend this look for clubbing or any special occasion. I mostly used drugstore product for this one! I am not exactly sure why the lightening is different in the pictures... I also did not use any makeup for my face - so excuse my dark under eyes!

before
after
Firstly, I applied some eye shadow primer - I used Too Faces Shadow Insurance. If you'd like to go completely drugstore, I would recommend using Milani Eyeshadow Primer, it reminds me of the Too Faced one by texture and keeps the shadow in place just as well. Then I groomed and filled in my eyebrows using my favorite ELF Brow Kit. Then take any shimmery cream colored shadow (I took Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Iced Latte - great staying power!) and apply it all over you lid, bringing it up to the crease. Take any matte brown color on a blending brush, and lightly blend it in your crease (Wet N Wild palette in Nude Awakening - the left crease color). Take a shimmery darker brown and put it lightly on you outer V blending it up into the crease (same palette - the right eyelid color). Then take any dark grey color (same palette - right crease color) and draw it from your outer corner up to your crease towards your eyebrow, and then continue it inwards your crease 1/3 of the way to the inner corner. Lightly blend it out, but keep it a little visible. Then take any gel or cream eyeliner (Catrice gel liner) and draw a line as thick as you want defining your upper lash line (make the so-called cat eye!) and use a waterproof black eye pencil (Rimmel Kohl eye pencil) to define the lower one. Be bold and draw a thick line and smoke it out a little bit using a smugde brush or any q-tip, for example, works just as well. The key for lower lash line is to not make the line thicker than your lower lashes can reach. To make this look even more dramatic, apply some long false eyelashes! To blend it with your lashes, apply some mascara, I used Maybelline Big Eyes.
